Bing Seto was one of the early pioneers of hybridizing discus. In the early 1970's he mass produced a hybrid called the "Cobalt Blue Discus." This discus was a cross from a wild blue heckel and a royal blue (Symphysodon Aequifasciata Haraldi). Bing was able to perform a selective breeding program because he developed a method of artificial raising of the fry that was second to none! He produced thousands of discus that were shipped worldwide. In fact, it is safe to say that some of the beautiful strains available today are direct descendents of Bing's Cobalt Blue Discus! Bing left the hobby for a while but now he is back and has traveled across the U.S. as well as other countries to search out the finest discus available that will be used in his breeding program. With Bing's expertise, it is a sure bet that he will be producing some of the finest discus the world will see. The following advertisement was run in Tropical Fish Hobbyist back in the 70's by Bing.
